Jordanna practiced as an asylum and immigration solicitor in Glasgow for 5 years before calling to the Bar in 2022. She has appeared regularly in the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal in Glasgow, representing clients in asylum, immigration and deportation appeals. She has a particular interest in refugee law, with a focus on assisting vulnerable asylum seekers, unaccompanied minors, victims of human trafficking and victims of torture.
As a devil she gained broader public law experience in cases involving challenges to housing association decisions, challenges to local authority foster care arrangements, challenges to the legislative competency of the Scottish Parliament, and a challenge to a decision of Crown Estates Scotland.
Jordanna has also gained experience in personal injury actions such as workplace accidents and occupier and public liability claims from both a pursuer and a defender perspective. She has experience of clinical negligence work in cases involving death and permanent disablement, including mesothelioma arising from asbestos exposure, damage caused by pelvic mesh inserts, and obstetric failures.
