Commercial Uses Of Rural Land - Michael Upton
Themis member Michael Upton, F.C.I.Arb., is teaching a new private CPD course, alongside two more of Scotland’s most experienced agricultural lawyers, providing an introduction to the law and practice of commercial activity in rural Scotland. The course will run at the Faculty of Advocates on Wednesdays from 24th September to 26th November, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It brings together a wide range of legal and practical topics from traditional farming, sport and forestry, to solar, hydro, carbon sequestration, BNG and more. Previously taught as an Honours Course at Edinburgh University, there is no comparable training in Scotland. An extra final half-day masterclass on 14 January will address a practical problem for the application of the acquired expertise. Limited places remain available; for details, e-mail blair47dp@gmail.com or call 07899 878131.
