General information
Andrew Brown has returned to full time practice after serving as an Advocate Depute for over five years. During his time in Crown Office Andrew prosecuted multiple trials in the High Court, including ten murders.
He has appeared in the Supreme Court as lead counsel for both the defence and the Crown.
Andrew has expertise in Health and Safety Law and has been Crown Counsel responsible for that area since 2013. As an amateur pilot he has a special interest in aviation matters.
He appeared on behalf of the Lord Advocate in the Court of Session, successfully recovering black box recorders in the Sumburgh case.
Andrew has recently represented the Crown at the Fatal Accident Inquiry into the Jim Clark and Snowman rally deaths. Andrew has also appeared in the Supreme Court.
Those who instruct him have commented on his personable nature and ability to advise clients in a no-nonsense manner.
